      With an exhilarating combination of poetry, R&B and rap, Raw Poetix brings forth a refreshing original New Orleans sound. Too sophisticated for the limitations of the underground, yet too smart for the conventional standards of the mainstream, the group finds itself at the crossroads of hip hop’s burgeoning middle ground; where artistic integrity reigns supreme. This display of a mixture of musical genres is the only way to describe their raw individuality and exceptional blend of musical delivery.

      During what they labeled “Male Bonding Monday's” and “Testosterone Thursday's” Raw Poetix connected as compadres and their cohesion is evident in their songs. Blocbusta, the Wise Guy, brings the street element, Bi®d, the Cynic is the constructive naysayer, Geechi, the Revolutionary, conveys consciousness, and S.B. the Stealth Bomb, the Realist, provides that gritty, down-to-earth ingredient. Amazingly, each member makes a significant contribution to the lyrics and flow of the music.

      Before the four emcees decided to ollectively pool their talents to form Raw Poetix, there were already unique bonds between them. Bi®d and S.B. are cousins; Blocbusta and Bi®d were college friends; Geechi befriended this trio through Geechi’s former roommate (producer Glass D); who was a colleague of Blocbusta. How’s that for six degrees of separation?

      Undoubtedly, Raw Poetix, unique bond is remarkable. Their choice of themes and use of musical styles is at best, innovative. Raw Poetix is more than a work in progress; they are a unit in motion.
